Dr François-Xavier Babin
François-Xavier Babin has run the Fondation Mérieux programs in Cambodia since November 2004, and those in South-East Asia and China since November 2006.
A pharmacist, he worked as a trainee at the Institut Pasteur in Cambodia in 2002 on the theme of hemoglobinopathies in Cambodia, then began his Industrial and Biomedical Pharmacy internship in Lyon in November 2002. He was then seconded by Hospices Civils de Lyon to the French Embassy in Afghanistan where he took charge of a development program by 18 medical biology laboratories in Kabul and the provinces while working as an expert at the Department of Health on the reform of the development policy for medical biology laboratories.
