Summary
The Mérieux Foundation Vaccine Acceptance Event Series aim at maintaining global dialogue and increase novel and multi-sectoral efforts to promote vaccination acceptance and rise resilience of
immunization programs, which faced major challenges particularly in the context of the pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019, or COVID-19.
The erosion in vaccination trust, confidence and resilience is an increasing threat to public health and a major obstacle to the prevention of infectious diseases burden. Multi-country and intersectoral
efforts are needed to continuously foster a dialogue that promotes awareness and understanding at various levels of the society to tackle this major public health threat.
As a contribution to this critical objective, the Mérieux Foundation brought together a global audience and a panel of distinguished experts from develop and LMICs of the scientific, public health and
private sectors to discuss issues around the introduction and acceptance of vaccines.
