C. Mérieux Prize
La sélection du lauréat est faite par l’Institut de France ; la Fondation Mérieux, quant à elle, soumet à l’Institut les personnalités identifiées sur le terrain.
Ce prix est destiné à aider la recherche sur les maladies infectieuses dans les pays en développement et récompenser de façon exclusive des équipes de recherche travaillant de manière permanente au sein même de ces pays.

The 2018 Christophe Mérieux Prize, endowed with €500,000, is awarded to Dr. Patricia Brasil of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) to encourage her research work on infectious diseases in Latin America. -

The 2012 Christophe Mérieux Prize was awarded to Dr Firdausi Qadri, Director of the ’Centre for Vaccine Sciences diseases’, ICDDR, B in Dhaka, Bangladesh for her outstanding research on infectious enteric diseases, a scourge in developing countries. -

The 2014 Christophe Mérieux Prize, an endowment of 500,000 euros, was awarded to Dr. Philippe Buchy, Institut Pasteur in Cambodia, by the Institut de France on behalf of Fondation Christophe et Roldolphe Mérieux. -
