Mérieux Foundation event
10th Advanced Course on Diagnostics (ACDx)
September 15-20, 2019 - Les Pensières Center for Global Health, Veyrier du Lac (France)
Context
ACDx advocates for the role and the value of diagnostics in global health and builds capacity for critical decision-making on diagnostics in developing countries through partnerships and networks.
This week-long intensive course is led by Prof. Rosanna Peeling from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) and Dr. François-Xavier Babin from the Mérieux Foundation and is designed to enhance the knowledge and professional network of participants. This year again there will be a focus on access to quality-assured diagnostics, especially for antimicrobial resistance control and epidemic preparedness, in addition to an overview of the latest advances in the field.
The program is developed with a Steering Committee comprising representatives from Institut Pasteur, UNICEF, WHO, The Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR), the US Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Africa CDC, Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) and Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics (FIND).
