Where We Work
A network approach that is as close as possible to local concerns
The Mérieux Foundation carries out long-term actions aimed at strengthening local capacities. Through these actions, our goal is to promote the appropriation by local actors of the infrastructures and programs put in place, in order to generally increase the means of combating infectious diseases.
In this context, we are deploying our actions all over the world thanks to the networking of health actors. This network approach makes it possible to pool knowledge and equipment in a country or region.
In conjunction with local partners, our teams ensure that they contribute to strengthening the infrastructure and skills of those working in the field in order to ensure the sustainability of our action.
In a comprehensive health approach, we aim to sustainably improve the quality of life of populations in developing countries by helping the most vulnerable, particularly mothers and children.
